The following juries are formed for each biennial BAB event: (1) Main Jury of the International Architectural-Urban and Interior Design Exhibition, (2) Jury for Publications; (3) Jury for Industrial Design; (4) Sponsorship Jury.
(1) Main Jury of the International Architectural-Urban and Interior Design Exhibition
The jury of the international architectural-urban biennial BAB exhibition is international, and the majority of the jury members must be from abroad. The juries of the main exhibition are composed of all national commissioners from the participating countries, a certain number of first prize winners from one of the previous BAB events and representatives of the regular BAB Assembly. The BAB commissioner is a mandatory member in the judging of works in category (C).
The chairman of the jury is the commissioner of the country that is designated to host that year, with one representative of the BAB assembly in each of the juries. For the Best Response to the Theme Award, the Jury of the Main Exhibition is extended to the BAB Commissioner.
(2) Jury for Publications
The jury for publications may be international. At least three members of the jury must have a doctorate and hold a scientific or teaching position. Exceptionally, members of the jury may also be prominent authors of professional monographs whose works are recognized at the national and international level. The jury is chaired by the chairman of the jury.
(3) Jury for Industrial Design
The jury for industrial design may be international. The jury members, at least three in number, must be prominent authors of executed works of industrial design, whose works are recognized at the national and international level. The jury is chaired by the president of the jury.
(4) Sponsor jury
The jury for the awards in the category of best construction production may be international. The jury members, at least three in number, must be on the decision-making board of the sponsoring company. The jury is chaired by the president of the jury.
