BAB 23 – BACK TO THE ROOTS aims to spark discussions on the various paradigms of suburban, rural, and urban places in today’s global society, while recognizing local traditions as an essential ingredient of the Global Village pot. The main issue of debate is whether a Global Village should be classified as an idealistic paradise or a realistic prospect for the near future. Exhibition should open debate on the benefits and drawbacks of each type of site, taking into account aspects like population density, infrastructure, and accessibility to resources. It will further examine the cultural, social, economic, and environmental implications of developing architectural, technological, and urban design patterns of the Global Village concept.
